Bridget Kuhlman has cerebral palsy. She can’t drive and walking any distance is a strain. So Kuhlman rode a special 3-wheel bike to her job at Arby’s in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

Last Friday, someone snipped the lock on her bike and rode off with it.

Kuhlman was devastated.

“I was very shocked and I lost it. I was crying because I’m like what am I going to do,” she told KCRG 2 News.

But that shock turned to elation when she learned her boss at Arby’s had organized an online fundraiser to buy her a new bike.

Arby’s store manager Angie Takes made the first contribution to the GoFundMe page called “Bike for Bridget”.

“I’m trying to raise enough money to by her a new one, she needs one with 3 wheels and a basket like the one in the picture,” Takes wrote. “We need to buy a good bike lock and lights since she rides it back and forth to work. Donate if you can I would like to get to her as fast as I can so she’s not walking in the dark. Thank you everyone in advance”

As of Friday morning, $4,000 has been raised for Bridget by 150 donors.
